Where and How to Get YOUR Permanent Residency? And
WHY??…
Are you seeking a great country where you can
obtain permanent residency or citizenship and have more opportunities, freedom, and better quality of life for
you and your loved ones?
Or are you thinking to find a best place in
the world to retire comfortably, full-time or part-time, on your social security or pension check to live a
wonderful life for a fraction of cost of where you are living now?
Or you never even thought about it?
I could not choose where I was born.
I was born in a country which granted me permanent residency and
citizenship.
I, however, can change my own
"destiny" on my own and choose where I want to live, for better
opportunities, better quality of life, and most important, freedom.
At different phases of my life, my place of choice to live also
changes.
Armed with multiple
citizenships and never-expire permanent residencies in different countries, I have much more
choices than those who only have one permanent residency and citizenship in one
country.
Having a single permanent residency and citizenship, to me, is
like putting all the eggs into one basket.
Who says one can only live in one country, with one permanent
residency and citizenship, for the rest of his or her life?
Who says one cannot or should not seek better opportunities,
quality of life, and more freedom by getting more than one permanent residency, or even multiple citizenships
in the global village?
Think about
“diversification”!
Let me ask you a few
questions…
-
Do you still recognize the country where you were
born, getting better or worse?
-
Do you feel your country offers more or less
opportunities now?
-
Can you imagine what kind of country will it be when
you retire? (If you have a crystal ball)
-
Can you travel freely and safely in the world with
your current passport?
-
Can you have quality and affordable health care in
your country so that you won't be broke in case you happen to have a surgery?
-
Do you pay unreasonable amount of taxes in your
country?
-
Does your country have a great education
system for you or your kids?
-
Can you stomach what is going on in your country
now?
-
Can you retire comfortably, worry-free on your social
security and pension, if you have one?
The list of questions can go on and on.
Your answers may be yes, or no, or maybe to some of those
questions above.
You may never ever thought
about to get a permanent residency somewhere else.
Well, would YOU even dare to
imagine the global financial crisis and the meltdown of Lehman Brothers, Countrywide Financial, IndyMac Bank,
Silver State Bank, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Washington Mutual, Wachovia, AIG, Bear
Stearns, GM, and Iceland… just 2 years
ago?
Would YOU even
believe it if you were told so just 2 years ago??
What's next? Greece? Spain? Latvia? China?...
Are you well
prepared for another crisis in the future?
It would be perfect if you enjoy where you are, do what you are
doing, and hope this will last forever during your lifetime.
But what if, just IF, someday………
You feel you really wish you had another permanent residency (or
even citizenship), for you or your loved ones, in another country where you can enjoy free or affordable
quality health care, great weather, great education system, affordable cost of living, worry-free
retirement, more opportunities and freedom……..
Perhaps too late at that time.
When you are qualified for permanent residency in one country for
now, you may not be qualified at later time.
For example, you would be
qualified for Costa Rica permanent residency if your income was U$600 per month as a retiree (Pensionado) or U$1000 a month as a legal resident (Rentista) several
years ago. Now? They are raised to U$1000 for Pensionados and U$2500 for
Rentistas! U$5000 a month was even proposed for the new immigration law for rentistas to
obtain permanent residency in Costa Rica!
If you are over 45 years old, you are not no longer qualified to
apply for Australian permanent residency as an independent skilled professional based on its point
system.
Laws and regulations do change as time goes by.
I had a good fortune to have multiple never-expire permanent
residencies and citizenships in different countries and traveled to over 80 countries all over the
world.
I have nothing to worry about. I have my own "insurance"
covered. I have my Plan B. I will have multiple social security and pension checks to collect when I
retire! In fact, I can't wait to "retire" early to enjoy life!
Just imagine this...
You can travel freely and safely with several
passports without visas to visit most countries in the world (many
people will be jealous of you!).
You can access to free or affordable
excellent health care and educational opportunities… more job and business opportunities.
You have more opportunities to make much more
money for you and your loved ones.
You can comfortably retire to collect
multiple social security and/or pension checks (how many people can say
this in the world?!) and live a wonderful life worry-free worldwide forever.
Do you have your
"Plan B"?
You may think you don't need it for now, but someday, you or
your loved ones may well need it. You never know! Never say never!
Not only people around the
world continue to immigrate to countries like USA, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand, but also millions of
those wealthy or not-so-wealthy Americans, Canadians, British, and Europeans, whether baby boomers or
not, have been escaping to countries like New Zealand, Fiji, Mexico,
Panama, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Belize, Bahamas, Colombia, Peru, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Dominican
Republic, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Paraguay, Brazil, Malta, Greece, Portugal, Spain, Ireland,
Crotia, Cyprus, Malaysia, China, Laos, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, and
Thailand…….
I helped people to get their permanent residencies and
citizenships. I was amazed that many people have no clues, knowledge or information on the subject
at all.
Some of the information you find on the Internet is either
out-dated, or partially correct, or simply not true at all.
Even some
officers at USCIS (US Citizenship and Immigration Services) and SSA (Social Security Administration) I
spoke with gave out completely wrong and misleading information on immigration, citizenship, and
international social security agreement rules.
So where should you apply for a permanent residency? And
how?
There is no universal answer for everyone. Everyone’s
situation is different. No country is perfect and fit for everyone.
